What is the Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) disease?
This is a common disease about urinary system. If there is an infection anywhere in our urinary tract, which is the path of urine, we call it UTI. First we have to know what the urinary tract is. It has 2 kidneys, 2 ureters and 1 bladder. The work of the kidney is to filter the blood in our body and remove the waste material through the bladder. This disease is more common in men than women. This disease is not that dangerous. This disease is mostly seen in the world nowadays.
Causes Of UTI
If there is a lack of water in our body then this disease can occur. There are many causes for urinary tract infection.

Drinking less water in the summer season, Holding urine (when the bladder is full of urine) increases the chance of bacterial growth in the bladder. Drink less water: Nowadays, many busy working people drink less water. Apart from this, there are many other conditions. Low immunity, diabetes, pregnancy, fever, UTI is sometimes seen in all these conditions.
Is UTI a serious disease?
No, it is not a serious disease. This disease can be cured with some medicine and some lifestyle. But in some cases this disease can be dangerous if we do not take responsibility for it.
Do children have a chance of getting urinary tract infection?
Yes, children are more likely to get urinary tract infections
because they don't drink much water, they are not clean, they are not going to
the toilet.
Symptoms of UTI disease
Some UTI symptoms can include :-
1. There will be a stomach ache
2. Dysuria(There will be a burning sensation while urinating)
3. Urination will occur frequently
4. Felling like needing to urinate more quickly
5. urinating drop by drop
6. Hazy type urine
7. Smelling urine
8. Some pus urine
9. Back or side pain
10. Nausea or vomiting
11. Fever
12. The body will feel cold
13. Bladder irritation
14. Some cases blood in the urine
Causative agent of UTI
Mainly affected bacteria E-coli for UTI. Enterococcus, mycobacterium tuberculosis – all these can also cause UTI. Candida albicans even in fungus cases.Virus includes Adenovirus, Cytomegalovirus. Trichomanas vaginalis also among parasites.
Diagnosis
First we will have to do a urine test, such as routine urine
microscopic, protein/albumin in urine, odour, sugar in urine, urine culture and
sensitivity. If after doing all these tests nothing abnormal is found in the
report, then an ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis will have to be done.
What is the early warning of UTI?
In some cases there will be an urgent need to urinate and
there will be a burning sensation very fast while urinating.
Treatment
First we should go to the doctor. After consulting with the
doctor, we will have to take the medicine prescribed by the doctor. Taking
antibiotic and some painkillers will reduce urine infection. You should drink
as much drinking water as possible. One should not have sex until the urinary tract infection is gone. Spicy food should not be eaten. alcohol and smoking strictly prohibited.
Can UTI be recurrent?
Yes, UTI can be recurrent, if we do not take proper UTI prevention then it can happen again, no doubt about it.
Prevention
1. One should drink water regularly so that urinary tract
infection can be relieved.
2. Hygiene will have to be maintained.
3. You will have to use the toilet all the time.(You should flush before and after urinating.)
4. Urine should never be held back.
